Health benefits at a glance:

Your bones need a lot of nutrients to stay strong throughout your life. Vitamin D and vitamin K are both highly important for building bone tissue and thereby maintaining health.

So instead of taking two different supplements, we have collected all of these bone-building nutrients in this single, science-backed formula.

Why it works:

Some of the most important nutrients for maintaining bone health are vitamin D and K. These two nutrients help you to maintain bone health, even in old age.

The thing is that the older you get, the more fragile your bones can become. That’s why it makes sense adding a combination of vitamin D and K to your diet so that you can keep your bones strong and youthful.

However, when you supplement with vitamin D and K, you are not only supporting bone health. All of these nutrients have multiple health benefits of their own, creating a positive spill-over effect for many aspects of health, including support for arterial health (vitamin K), brain health (vitamin D3) and immune health (vitamin D3).

So, by supplementing with vitamin D and vitamin K, you do not only support bone health, but you are also getting extra benefits such as support for arterial health, cognitive function and immune health. In short; it’s a win-win situation.

The science behind the product:

The vitamin K and vitamin D in this formula have all been scientifically researched in order to meet their optimal dosages. Both in unison and individually, they offer many different health benefits:

Vitamin K1 and vitamin K2

Vitamin K helps inhibit calcium buildup in your arteries while promoting healthy calcium absorption into your bone matrix [3]. Vitamin K1 is the most common form of vitamin K in the diet. It comes primarily from leafy green vegetables. However, there is a catch here as vitamin K1 isn’t well absorbed from these foods.

Vitamin K2 is found in cheese, eggs, and fermented soybeans. It has been shown to be more bioavailable than K1 and to remain active in the body far longer. The MK-7 from of vitamin K2 was demonstrated to stay available in the body for up to 48 hours.

Of course, this formula contains both forms of vitamin K2.

Vitamin D3

Studies show that healthy serum vitamin D levels have been shown to correspond with better cognitive function [6,7]. Together with vitamin K, vitamin D3 is necessary for facilitating the transportation of calcium into the bone matrix for strong, healthy bones and teeth [8].

Vitamin D3 also plays a critical role in healthy immune function [9], which is why it is also a good idea to supplement with vitamin D3 in winter.

Moreover, Vitamin D supports cardiovascular health and encourages healthy endothelial function.]. As it goes to show, vitamin D3 is overall an important nutrient for both bone health and arterial health.

This vitamin D3 supplement has been reformulated in cooperation with Life Extension in the US to fit European supplementation guidelines, delivering 75 mcg (3000 IU) of vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol per capsule.

Ensure you get enough of these two essential nutrients with "Vitamins D & K".
