Health Benefits at a Glance:
Menopause is caused by the natural aging and is caused by an age-induced decrease in natural estrogen levels in the female body, offsetting a hormone imbalance in the female body. This sudden change in the estrogen balance can cause discomforts and signs of menopause such as hot flashes night sweats, and mood swings. The active ingredient in this product is a powerful rhubarb extract that can mimic estrogen. This helps to inhibit the effects of changing estrogen levels and can relieve common menopausal discomforts such as hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings [2-6].
Why it Works:
Although menopausal discomforts vary from woman to woman, they are usually accompanied by discomforts such as hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings. Other discomforts also include irritability, sleep disturbances, exhaustion, joint and muscle discomfort, vaginal dryness, issues with urinary health, and sexual function. These are all caused by a hormonal imbalance in estrogen hormone levels in the female body.
Menopause 731™ is a natural menopause supplement which contains a powerful standardized extract of Siberian rhubarb (R. rhaponticum). Although this extract is not a hormone, it can simulate estrogen reactions in the body. Menopausal discomforts are offset by a rapid drop in estrogen hormone levels in the female body. But studies show that the rhubarb extract in this product mimics estrogen activity in the female body. This can inhibit the intensity of common menopausal discomforts.
Studies show that the active ingredient in Menopause 731™ can produce:
- Up to 83% reduction in total menopausal discomforts
- Towards an 83 % reduction in hot flashes
- Up to 66% reduction in irritability and mood swings
The Science Behind the Product:
The Siberian rhubarb extract found in Menopause 731™ is standardized for two unique compounds called rhaponticin and desoxyrhaponticin. Pre-clinical studies have shown that the Siberian rhubarb extract selectively activates a specific estrogen receptor (ER-β). Simultaneously, it leaves another estrogen receptor known as ER-α undisturbed . Scientists believe that this is why the Siberian rhubarb extract in this product can mimic the effect of estrogen, which in turn helps quell menopausal symptoms.
Furthermore, the standardized extract in this product has been studied in randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trials in more than 400 women. The clinical studies of the rhubarb extract lasted between 12 weeks and two years [2, 3, 6].
After the trials had ended the women involved in the studies were asked to answer standardized research questionnaires which were designed to evaluate menopausal discomforts as well as their mood and emotional health. After examining the research results, researchers found that the Siberian rhubarb extract produced Up to 83% reduction in total menopausal discomforts . It also produced towards an 83 % reduction in hot flashes , and up to 66% reduction in irritability and mood swings .
