Health Benefits at a Glance:
First of all, what is tryptophan? Let’s turn to the hormone serotonin. This hormone cares for the connection between nerve cells and is naturally found in the brain and digestive tract. Serotonin positively impacts your mood and sleep.
To produce and maintain optimum serotonin levels your body requires tryptophan, an amino acid your body cannot produce.
The basis for Optimized Tryptophan Plus is premium L-tryptophan that has undergone significantly more rigorous manufacturing processes than regular tryptophan material. This is to ensure the highest quality – to powerfully support healthy tryptophan levels in your body.
In addition to an optimal amount of high-quality L-tryptophan, this formula has been enriched with nutrients that assist in maintaining your body's tryptophan activity.
Why it Works:
A lack of sleep can cause stress, and stress can lead to a lack of sleep. Studies indicate that tryptophan supports healthy sleep patterns and mood. (1-3)
The ideally amount of premium tryptophan in Optimized Tryptophan Plus can help break this cycle by supporting optimal sleep and promoting a healthy mood.
Tryptophan also encourages the body’s healthy response to stress. (4) Moreover, tryptophan and serotonin can help support satiety, the feeling of being “full”, to help support healthy weight management. (4,5)
The Science Behind the Product:
Serotonin and L-tryptophan
Serotonin is a neurotransmitter in the brain associated with positive mood and restful sleep. (6-8) Your body requires the essential amino acid tryptophan to produce and maintain healthy serotonin levels, but your body cannot make tryptophan on its own. (9)
Optimized Tryptophan Plus provides 1000 mg of L-tryptophan per serving. This L-tryptophan has undergone a rigorous manufacturing process to ensure purity and safety.
Nutrients to assist tryptophan activity
L-tryptophan in Optimized Tryptophan Plus is augmented with unique nutrients. Those nutrients include lysine, niacinamide, and extracts of hops and rosemary to provide nutritive support for the tryptophan benefits in the body and the natural production of serotonin. (10,11)
