Why is CoQ10 good for you?
Helps convert fat and sugar into energy for healthy cell function
Coenzyme Q10 helps to metabolise food into energy and is found in almost all body cells. Importantly, it is also one of the powerful antioxidants and helps the body to fight against free radicals.
Free radicals damage cell membranes and can cause cells to die, which is why scientists believe they contribute to the ageing process and a number of health problems, including heart disease and cancer.
Antioxidants such as Coenzyme Q10 can neutralize free radicals and might reduce or help to prevent some of the damage they cause.
It is believed that Coenzyme Q10 can add up to nine years to average life expectancy.
Research and studies have also suggested that coenzyme Q10 supplements might help to prevent or treat a number of medical conditions.
Note that further research with a larger number of patients is needed, and, of course, we do not recommend trying to treat yourself; always consult and work with your doctor.
